The Divine Liturgy for Maria Malekakis will be held at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Yarraville on FRIDAY (February 11, 2022) at 11:00am. Following the Liturgy, the cortege will proceed to Williamstown Cemetery for the Committal and Burial Service.

Στις 4 Φεβρουάριο ο Θεός μας πήρε και άλλο άγγελο. Η πολύ αγαπημένη μου γιαγιά Μάρω αποβιασε. Ο θάνατος τις ήτανε γρήγορος και ησύχως. Αγαπημένη μου γιαγιά, αγωνιστικές και πολέμησες πολύ σκληρά στη ζωή. Όλη την ώρα κοιτούσες για τους άλλους πριν από τον εαυτό σου, έως το τέλος. Μπορείς να μας αφίσες όμως η ψυχή σου θα είναι μαζί μας πάντοτε. Μια μέρα γιαγιά θα ξανα πιούμε ελληνικό καφέ μαζί. Ο αγαπημένος σου εγγονός, Αλέξανδρος.

On February 4, God gained another angel from us. Our beloved grandmother Mary passed away. Her death was quick and painless. My beloved grandmother, you struggled and fought hard in life. You always considered others before yourself, even until the end. You may have left us physically, but your love and spirit will always be with us. One day grandma, we will again be drinking our Greek coffees together again. Your beloved grandson, Alexander.
