Obituary For Mallika Abeynayake
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Mallika Abeynayake, a devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mallika departed from this world on 3rd December 2023, surrounded by the love of her family in Melbourne, Australia.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and wisdom that will forever be cherished by her grieving family. Mallika is survived by her children Mahesa Abeynayake, Ianthie Kulatilleke, Sharmini Pathinayake, Anil Abeynayake Lilanthi Fernando, She was the beloved mother-in-law of Ananda Kulatilleke, Athula Pathinayake, Tamiko Abeynayake, and Mario Fernando.
Mallika will be fondly remembered as the doting grandmother of Nilanka and Aravinda De Silva Lasanka, Harshani, Sanjeeva, Anasha, Savanna, Limendra, and Malindra. Her spirit will live on as the great-grandmother of Cruz and Aiden.

A Memorial Service to Celebrate Mallika's life will be held at in the Joyce Chapel, Fawkner Memorial Park on Friday, the 8th of December, at 3:15 PM.
The family invites friends, relatives, and well-wishers to join them in paying their respects and sharing memories of Mallika's remarkable life.
As we mourn the loss of Mallika Abeynayake, let us remember her with love and gratitude for the indelible mark she left on our hearts.
May she attain supreme nirvana.
Following the Ceremony you are warmly invited to join us at 3 Watermill Court Mill Park from 6:00pm for refreshments and reflections.
