Obituary For Geoffrey John Rodda

Celebration of the life of Geoffrey John Rodda

With open and gentle hearts, we share that Geoff has peacefully journeyed from this world into the embrace of eternal love and light. Forever cherished as a loving soulmate to Lorraine, devoted father to Jessica, Carmen, Justin, and Lorraine’s daughters, Michelle and Cynthia.

Geoff was the heart of a large and loving family, including his eleven grandchildren, a treasured friend of Adrie, the mother of his children, and to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His spirit surrounds us now, inviting us to remember him with tenderness and joy.

As we no longer see his physical form, Geoff’s spirit continues to embrace us—woven into the love he gave and the countless lives he uplifted, we celebrate the light he brought into our world, grateful for having walked alongside him.

Forever in our Hearts.

The Funeral Service for Geoff will be held on TUESDAY (10/03/2026) in the Chapel of Mercy Place Aged Care in Parkville, 1 William Street, Parkville. The service will commence at 10:00am.

Following the Service, we invite you to join a Labyrinth Walk—a gentle, reflective tribute to Geoff’s spirit and the journey of his soul and a space for remembrance, connection, and peace in Geoff’s honor. This gathering will take place on the ground-floor lounge of the adjoining Mercy Place Apartments. Light refreshments will be served on the 4th Floor as we continue to share fond memories and celebrate Geoff’s enduring light.

Parking is available at The Reggio Calabria Club, 476 Brunswick Rd, Parkville, just a 5-minute walk to the Mercy Place Chapel.

In lieu of Flowers the family invite donations be made to Pankind - Pancreatic Cancer Australia Foundation, which can be found at https://pankind.org.au/donate

On behalf of my mum and dad, Varlie and Eugene FIFIS, and my families may I offer my sincere sympathy to Adrie, Lorraine, Jessica, Carmen, Justin and their families, and also Lorraine's daughters and families. We remember back to when Jeff entered our broader family with dignity and with Grace and always found him to have such a gentle footprint on the world. Those qualities live on in his children and grandchildren and so his work is complete. He deeply loved Adrie and Lorraine his life and heart fully. That is a successful man. God bless.

My sincere sympathy on the passing of this special Soul. Geoff was such a humble man, full of kindness and knowledge. He and Lorraine began my labyrinth journey many years ago, for which I am truely grateful. A life full of purpose, meaning and contribution to the greater good. Much love to you all......
