Beloved father of Angela, Louise (dec) and Troy (dec), father-in-law to Brett and Paula.
Adored grandfather to Kyla, Kobe & Cooper.

Funeral Service to Celebrate the Life of Frank Paterson Payne, will be held in the Chapel of Repose, Altona Memorial Park, 2-14 Dohertys Road Altona North on FRIDAY (17 July 2026) at 10:15am.

Frank was my 'old mate' and a continuing legacy of my mate, and his son, Troy. He never judged and was a great listener. He taught us young blokes how to be a suffering Parra fan, and was always available for a chat. What a guy. Frank is a tribute to his family who have all turned out to be wonderful people. I thought Frank was one of the kindest and funniest blokes I knew and I'm so glad that I got the opportunity to share some little moments both in Melbourne and Queensland with him and I'll cherish that forever. To the rest of Frank's family, you are one of the lucky ones that were able to experience his crazy humour and kind soul up close and personal. Hang on to that as it is very special. He was always special to me and I am a better person for knowing him. Love you Frankie.
