Recordando a nuestra amada Angela Diaz de Peña, quien nos dejó el 2 de Noviembre de 2021.

Nació en Sensuntepeque, El Salvador, el 2 de Octubre de 1923. A temprana edad, ella y sus hermanas se mudaron a la China con sus padres. Cuando su padre - quien era un empresario Chino - murió, la familia regresó a El Salvador.

Una mujer creativa e inteligente, tuvo éxito en su vida a pesar de la falta de apoyo finaciero y oportunidades de estudio. Pensadora lateral, tenaz y trabajadora, empezó trabajando barriendo el suelo de un Salón de Belleza. Poco a poco la promovieron cuando demostró talento para hacer, entre otras cosas, sombreros y pelucas. Aprendió todos los aspectos del negocio de belleza y eventualmente abrió su muy respetado Salón de Belleza Zoy-Ja.

Ella podía hacer de todo con sus manos y usó todas sus habilidades y talentos para sobrevivir y mantener a sus hijos sola.

Despues de inmigrar a Australia como refugiada con sus hijos, se preocupó por aprender inglés y continuó ocupada cosiendo, tejiendo, y haciendo manualidades. Empezó a dibujar y pintar durante sus ochentas.

Angela fue miembro activo de la Iglesia Bautista de Tottenham y del Grupo de Mujeres de Tercera Edad de North Melbourne, donde siempre asistía amablemente a otros miembros con sus trabajos de manualidades.

Esposa fiel de Jose (QDDG) Amadísima madre de José Alejandro, Marielos, Carlos Alberto (QDDG) y Ricardo Antonio (QDDG) Querida suegra de Sandra y Carmen. Adorada abuela de Carlos, Steven y Ricardo, y bisabuela de Taliyah, Isaiah, Lucas, Bernard y Jake. Queridísima hermana de Helen, quien la acompañó y le dió consuelo siempre en sus momentos felices y tristes, y de Teresa (QDDG). Tía favorita de todos sus sobrinos y pilar fundamental de nuestra familia en todo el mundo.

Por siempre en nuestros corazones, descansa en paz en el seno del Señor junto con su hermana Teresa y sus amados hijos Carlos y Ricardo.

El Servicio Funeral para celebrar la vida de Angela tomará lugar en la Iglesia Jesus el El Camino, Footscray, Victoria, el SABADO 13 de Noviembre, 2021 a las 10 am. Cremacion privada.

Para aquellos familiares y amigos que no podrán atender al Servicio Funeral debido a restricciones de COVID-19, éste va a ser transmitido en vivo a traves de FuneralCast.com.au el SABADO 13 de Noviembre de 2021, desde las 10AM hora Australiana AEDT (GMT+11).

In loving memory of Angela Pena who sadly passed away on 2nd November 2021

She was born in Sensuntepeque, El Salvador, on 2 October, 1923. At an early age, she and her sisters moved to China with their parents. When her father, a Chinese businessman, died, the family returned to El Salvador.

A creative and intelligent woman, she achieved success in her life despite her lack of early opportunities for study and financial support. A tenacious, hard-working lateral thinker, she started her working life sweeping the floor of a beauty salon. She was steadily promoted as she demonstrated skills in, among other things, millinery and wig making. She learned every aspect of the business and eventually opened her own, respected hairdressing business in El Salvador. She could do anything with her hands and used all her skills to survive and support her children on her own. After migrating to Australia as a refugee with her surviving children, she endeavoured to learn English and continued to keep herself busy sewing, embroidering, making crafts and taking up painting in her 80s. Angela was an active member of the Tottenham Baptist Church. She also belonged to the Elderly Citizens Club North Melbourne, where she cheerfully assisted other members with their craft projects.

Faithful wife of Jose (dec) Beloved mother of Jose, Maria, Carlos (dec) and Ricardo (dec) Loved mother-in-law of Sandra and Carmen. Adored grandmother of Carlos, Steven and Ricardo and great grandmother of Taliyah, Isaiah, Lucas, Bernard and Jake. Beloved sister of Helen, who stood by her and gave her company and solace during her life, and Teresa (dec). Favourite aunt to her many nephews and nieces and their children, she was a fundamental pillar of our family all over the world. She is forever in our hearts. At Peace in God's Care.

The Funeral Service to Celebrate the Life of Angela Pena will be held at Jesus is the Way Church, Footscray, on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 10:00 am. Private Cremation.

For those family and friends not able to attend the Funeral Service due to COVID-19 restrictions, it will be streamed live through our Digital Media partner FuneralCast.com.au on Saturday, November 13, 2021, from 10:00 am.
