28/08/1931 – 19/03/2026.
Loved mother of Greg, Julian, Helen and Ann, Mother-in-law of Rick, Jane and Kath, grandmother of Annika, Madeleine, Timothy, Emma, Logan, Erika, Andrew, Laura, and Mathilda and great-grandmother of Lillie, Eva and Theo.
Aunt, great-aunt and great-great aunt to members of the Stewart clan.
She will be remembered by her family and friends for her wonderful life and adventures and for her loving, spirited, generous and interested nature.
Requiem Mass for the Repose of the Soul of Aileen Ann Rzesniowiecki will be offered at Sts Peter and Paul’s Catholic Church, 377 Dorcas Street, South Melbourne on MONDAY (March 30, 2026) at 10:00am.
Private Cremation.

Aileen & I met in 1983 while working together at Sunshine Library. As a young librarian who moved from Sydney, Aileen quickly became my surrogate mum. She was caring, kind, funny and a very special confidante to me. I left Melbourne for Brisbane in 1988 & since then we have kept in contact with one another. Aileen always spoke proudly and lovingly of her family. She was so very, very proud of all of you. That love always lit up her face whenever you were mentioned. Rest in peace my dear friend. Aileen's life was a true celebration of love, family, and adventure. Though she may be gone, her memory will live on in our hearts. We're grateful for the time we had with her and take comfort in knowing she passed away at home peacefully ❤️💐 condolences to her beautiful family, with love the Lanzendoerfer family ❤️
